Store open, closed, busy

Store hours and busy time follow the POS. Busy adds prep time instead of turning customers away.

#Three states

Set it with PUT /v1/stores/{id}/status. The answer is the same as GET /v1/stores/{id}/status: what customers now see.

#Busy

• extra_prep_minutes is required for busy, from 5 to 120. With 15, a store showing 20-35 min shows 35-50 min.
• Busy is not added up: each busy call replaces the last one.
• Busy ends when you send open or closed, or when the store is unlinked.
• If the store's normal prep time is not set in minutes, busy returns 409 prep_time_unknown. Use open and closed, and ask Laayo to fix the store.

#Closed for a while

Add reopen_after_minutes (1 to 1440) when the kitchen closes for a while, for example a break or a gas refill. The store reopens by itself after that many minutes.

Show customers_see next to your toggle, so the cashier knows what the customer app says.

#When to send it

• When the cashier opens or closes the day in your POS.
• When the kitchen toggles busy, and when it toggles back.
• Only on change. The heartbeat shows you are alive.

#When the owner takes over

If the owner switches to Laayo's own controls, status calls return 409 owner_takeover for up to an hour. Show a short note in your POS and try again after the time in the message. See When the POS is offline.
